Make a Wise Investment and Fully Fund our Public Schools

New York State is currently working on their budget for 2019 and one of the issues that they are addressing is school aid. While the current budget proposal includes some increases in state funding, many of our districts are still owed Foundation Aid money. Click here to see if your district is owed money. Long Island Teachers is asking everyone who cares about public education to contact their State Senator or Assemblyperson and ask them to fulfill their promise to fully fund our schools. We have created two letters, one for people from districts that are owed money and one from districts that are fully funded, that we are asking you to fill out and send to your representative. You can find out who your representative is and their contact info by clicking here for the State Senate and here for the State Assembly.
